Paula Burns specializes in serving the risk management and insurance needs of non-profit and higher education institutions.  She has been in the insurance industry for 39 years and has earned the designations of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Risk Manager (CRM).   Her career began in property and casualty claims laying a foundation for Paula to be an advocate for clients when they need her the most, during a claim or crisis.

Paula is a faculty member of The National Alliance and teaches classes to other insurance professionals, risk managers, and non-profit organizations nationally.

Paula serves on several boards:

· Care Providers Insurance Advisory Board

· Texas Mutual Social Services Board

· Zenith Master Agent for Social Services

· Texas Ministry Conference / Church CO+OP Board

· Advisory Panel Member -  Leading High Performance Team Program @ University of Houston Bauer College of Business

When she is not teaching, or at the agency, you can find her on her horse farm  with her husband of 31 years.  Paula and her husband Gary have two children and two grandchildren.   She joined Insurance One Agency in 2010 because they have a heart to serve those who serve.
