Dale earned his BBA degree in Accounting from Texas A&M University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Church Administrator (CCA). He served as Business Administrator at Grace Presbyterian Church in Houston for nine years and Director of Finance for First Presbyterian Church in Houston for two years. He also brings 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in accounting, purchasing and materials management.

Dale is a past director of the Petroleum Accountants Society of Houston and the Houston CPA Society. He has also held officer positions with the Houston Metro chapter of The Church Network (TCN) and the Petroleum Group of the National Association of Purchasing Managers (NAPM). Dale is mostly retired and currently serves as an elder and Treasurer of First Presbyterian Church in San Antonio. He and his wife, Michele, have five children.
